I personally don’t use IFTTT, but there is a big chance it’s not gonna see it either. Also have tested “Green Thermostat”, “Keep me Cozy”, “Thermostat Mode Director”, and lastly Sharp Tools is not seeing it either. I have have been using “Thermostat window checker” for some time, that’s not recognizing it any more. So again, no smart apps or any integrations that are specifically looking for a “thermostat” will see it as one. And I figured that was because they are trying to discontinue the old app, but I am able to control everything else though through the old app. Now the old app shows the status of the thermostat (temp, mode, fan) but will not let me change anything through the old app. Also the old app didn’t see it as a thermostat until I went into Smartthings web portal and switched it from “placeholder” to “Honeywell TCC 8000/9000 Thermostat”. None of the smart apps will recognize it as a thermostat. I got mine yesterday, installed it to replace Liryc T5. Mine is the model TH8732WF (I think there are several different models of the same looking round thermostat floating around). I am running into the same issue with Honeywell thermostat. home devices, including Honeywell Home devices, from the Samsung SmartThings App. One thing of notice is that their display on main screen changed, older integration was showing the current temperature in device tile, now it just shows connected and I have to click on tile to open device to check current temp.Īny suggestions to make it detectable in smart apps again?

I have checked in IDE and they both initially shown as ‘Placeholder’ in Type but I changed them to ‘Honeywell Lyric Thermostat’. I’m using ST created device drivers( even in older app), so nothing changed from my end apart from creating new service linking between Honeywell and Smartthings. For example: Thermostat mode detector app created by it simply doesnt detect those thermostats. Now, After re-linking honeywell with Smartthings, it works, i mean it detects the thermostats and I can manually change the settings, I can change them from within scenes.īut I can’t add them via any smart apps. It kept giving me credentials expire notifications, So I decided to delete the honeywell app and re-create the mapping by linking it with smartthings(I know, I should have known better). It was working okay on newer app too, but it was working. I have a few days to return the thermostat, and I will because what's the point of an expensive Thermostat that I can't automate like I want.I have been using this Honeywell Lyric Thermostat since last 2 odd years, it was working fine on older app.

I tried several different device handlers and nothing changes. It sounds like your entering credentials on the Honeywell standalone app. The credentials are entered in the smartapp not the DH for the Honeywell Thermostat. The Honeywell regular app has nothing to do with smartthings (the app with the remember me setting).
#SMARTTHINGS HONEYWELL TCC SMARTAPP FULL#
I have full control of the thermostat within Smarthings normally, (though on the main page card it just shows "connected" instead of the current temperature like my upstairs thermostat does, which is a Z-wave device.) There is a Honeywell TCC ( connect ) smartapp in ST. I CAN use the thermostat as a temperature sensor for smart apps, but not as an actual Thermostat. I also tried a third party smart app Thermostat Manager. Neither app let's me select the thermostat. I tried the built in Keep Me Cozy and Thermostat Mode Director. However, the thermostat does not show as an option in a y smart app. The SmartThings nodes provided in the Automation Studio allows you to wire installed devices to implement autorun rules without any code.

It specifically shows as works with same things on the works with Smarthings page, and it also says "control thermostat with door and window sensors). SmartThings Automation Integrating SmartThings automation requires an understanding of the SmartApp lifecyclesand implementing its protocol. Anyone else have this issue? I have a Honeywell TCC wifi color Thermostat (RTH9585WF1004). Pair your Schlage lock to SmartThings and use SmartApps to create customizable scenarios for your home based on.
